We Muslims believe in the Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) as the messiah as stated in the Qur’an. In the words of Shaykh Ahmed Deedat (raheemullah) “no Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus!”. Quite rightly said, you can’t be a Muslim if you do not believe in Isa (peace be upon him), along with the belief in Isa (peace be upon him), we must accept that he was the Messiah and that he will come back (as stated in the Qur’an).
What if a person claims to be an ex Muslim for 18 years, claims to have read the Qur’an regularly, claims to have prayed five times a day etc but does not know that Muslims believe in Isa (peace be upon him) as the Messiah?
You can see from the clip above that Ergun Caner says that he would stand outside a Mosque and tell Muslims that “Jesus is more than just a Messenger, he is Messiah”.
Muslims already believe in Isa (peace be upon him) as the Messiah,
so what would be the point of Ergun standing outside a mosque and telling us “Jesus is more than just a Messenger, he is Messiah” when we already believe in him as the Messiah?
Shouldn’t Ergun Caner the ex DEVOUT Muslim know that Muslims already believe in Isa (peace be upon him) as the Messiah? Yes he should! But he doesn’t.
A few years ago, Ergun had an e-mail debate with a Muslim by the name of Nadir Ahmed. Within this debate (if I can call it that), along with a list of other points, Ergun Caner stated that he wanted to discuss the following point:
"1. You pick any topic you wish, concerning why you do not believe in Jesus Christ as Messiah. E-mail your question to me here. "
If Ergun has deleted it because of this exposure - you can see a screen shot below.
The question must be asked again, why is Ergun telling a Muslim that he wants to discuss the reason to why Muslims do not believe in Jesus as Messiah when all Muslims already believe in Jesus as Messiah?
Shouldn't Ergun the ex devout Sunni Muslim until the age of 18 know this?
